I started Knotty Gurl Crochet in 2017.I tried to learn to knit many moons ago (and failed horribly...I made half a scarf and then never touched it again for 3 years lol). I had been contemplating trying to learn how to knit or crochet and then a friend of mine told me she was expecting and I immediately knew I wanted to make the baby something. I went out that weekend to Michael's and bought some yarn and started in on a baby blanket. It took awhile, but I completed it and by the time I was done I was in love with crochet.
I then started to crochet all the time and ended up with more hats and scarves then one person could ever possibly wear and decided to try my hand at selling online and so Knotty Gurl Crochet was born. Yes I do more then crochet but I have no desire to change my brand name as I feel it reflects where I started.
After awhile I got tired of making knitwear to sell. I switched over to selling supplies for other makers in my online yarn Shop! I still sell the odd finished piece here and there, but I do not sell finished knitwear at markets anymore.
I have also taken up sewing & make/sell project bags in my shop.
